The Government of Manipur, on September 9, 2026, notified a revision in the rates of excise duty on IMFL/BIO (Whiskey, Brandy, Rum, Gin, Vodka and Champagne) having an ex-Bond price of ₹30,000 or above per case of 12 bottles of 750 ml each or equivalent quantity. The revised excise duty for such products has been fixed at ₹6,000 per case.
The notification has been issued in continuation of Notification No. FX-8/13/2022-e-FD-Part (2) dated November 29, 2024. Accordingly, Para I of Annexure-I to the earlier notification has been modified by inserting the revised rate as Sl. No. 7 in the table under Para I.
The notification was issued by the Department of Finance (Finance Expenditure), Government of Manipur, in the name of the Governor of Manipur. It was published in the Manipur Gazette Extraordinary No. 219 dated September 22, 2026.
